I really enjoy this user's manual for many reasons. It is far superior to the old Alpha Four User and Tutorial Manuals. Actually, I got started with previous Alpha database versions. Your manual brings life to database technology.

Good book, by the way very down to earth... Love it.

I am finally on page 395 of Alpha Five Made Easy v8. Thanks for the invitation to email you.
Your book has been just what I wanted, someone to take me step by step and walk me through every little detail of learning Alpha Five from the ground up. It feels like you are right there with me!
I am coming from the DOS programming world (FoxBase+) so the move into the Windows world has been a little traumatic at times. OK, very traumatic. Like learning to walk all over again. So I needed someone to show me the ropes. And I found that person in your book.
Your books are really great! Please keep writing more.
I can add that I have learned a lot from reading many computer books, from Dummies to Bibles, and I find that your books are among the best, in terms of usefulness and attention to detail. They could all use more of your humor because it helps digest all the technical stuff.
Thanks again

I bought the PDF version of the book. It is laid out very nicely and easy to follow. I appreciate that it was written by a person who has first hand knowledge of how easy Alpha 5 was to use in her business. I highly recommend it to anyone who is just starting out or who wants to upgrade to version 8.
Knowing what I now know, I would have bought the printed copy instead. It makes it easier to go through the lessons while using the computer. Nevertheless, it worked out.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with Alpha 5. Good job!

As for returning the Functions Handbook -- no way! I've only been working with A5V8 for 2 or 3 months, and I haven't programmed anything yet, but I've already discovered that their documentation leaves a lot to be desired for someone like me. I'm not a Programmer, but I wrote a pretty extensive dBase application long ago that we're still using, and I still have to look up functions and commands. I'm hoping Alpha5 will be easier than dBase.”

Your text has been instrumental in re-awakening my interest in Alpha V8. It is clear, and seems to know exactly when I need a prompt to show me where I am going wrong.
Thanks for the excellent text. I look forward to other books that you may write.
